The Laboratory of Fission-Track Analysis and Isotope Geochronology was established in 2024 as a structural subdivision of the Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IPE RAS). Our Laboratory realizes the full cycle of Apatite and Zircon Fission-Track analysis/dating (AFT, ZFT), as well as U-Th-Pb LA-Q-ICP-MS dating of detrital zircon. The method of Apatite Fission-Track dating has been employed at IPE RAS since 2022, when it was initially implemented through close collaboration with the laboratories of Novosibirsk (IGM SB RAS) and Ulan-Ude (IG SB RAS).The scope of our fundamental research encompasses the Siberia, the Kola Peninsula and Karelia regions. In recent years, our team has obtained new data on the tectono-thermal evolution of the Siberian Traps Large Igneous Province and the basement of the East European Platform. We engage in active collaboration with companies in the oil and gas sector, offering services in fission-track dating of apatite and zircon, as well as U-Pb dating of clastic (detrital) zircon. We are engaged in the ongoing development of our capabilities and are open to any kind of collaboration in geology, thermochronology, fission-track and isotope geochronology, and so on: roman.veselovskiy@gmail.com
